Ricardo Montesa (1960) has a degree in Industrial Engineering in the Polytechnic University of Valencia. After his final degree project, he founded the company Montesa Grafics, where he developed specific software for 3D rendering, and for real-time 2D rendering of competitions and elections. A few years later, he founded Brainstorm Multimedia with other partners. In 1994, he developed software for generating 3D graphics in realtime and created an application for virtual scenography and television polls and elections. This software is used by television channels around the world. In 1996 and 1997 he worked as a software developer for special effects at George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magics (ILM) company in San Rafael. After his American experience, he returned to Spain to the technical direction of the company and intervenes in all the design decisions of the applications created in the company. Brainstorm applications are used today worldwide with clients on all continents, and operates in the international market of the most prestigious televisions such as the BBC (UK), NHK (JP), KBS (KO), NBC ( USA), RTL (DE), TVE (ES). For 10 years he has combined the work of (Director of Development) research and development of software with the direction of the company (CEO).
Timo Puukko, Lapland UAS
Timo Puukko (1975) has a MA degree in Film and TV directing. He has been working as a director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer and editor in various film and video productions and also as a lecturer at Lapland UAS’s Digital Solutions Expertise Group for last ten years. He has also worked in both national and international projects as an expert, f.e. Horizon 2020 funded SmartSet – project to develop virtual studio solution and Our Stories– project in which he produced audiovisual content.
