1. The Producer
1.1 Lapland University of Applied Sciences is the lead partner of ‘Our Stories’ (the Producer). “LUAS” shall have the meaning of the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, whose contact information is as follows:

2. Scope of the Agreement
This Agreement is to be applied to all material produced such as the following, non exhaustive, list:
• short film
• recorded audio
• text
• photographs
• storybooks
of the Our Stories/LUAS and to the intellectual property rights (including copyrights, neighboring and associated rights) and LUAS’ rights to use and publish the recorded material related to the participation of the Storyteller/Performer in the Productions.
3. Storyteller/Performer’s Participation in the Productions
3.1 The Storyteller/Performer shall participate in the interviews, filming, recording or other such work of the Production as agreed upon beforehand between the Storyteller/Performer and the Producer. The work of the Production shall take place from 01/01/2017 to 30/06/2019.
3.2 The Storyteller/Performer shall not be paid any salary or other compensation or remuneration for the featuring in the Production.
4. Transfer of the Intellectual Property Rights
4.1 The Storyteller/Performer shall hereby transfer all his/her intellectual property rights (including copyrights, neighboring and associated rights) related to the collected, filmed or otherwise recorded material during the work of the Productions where he/she features to LUAS absolutely and without condition or equivocation.
4.2 The Storyteller/Performer shall not be paid any compensation, remuneration or other benefit for the transfer of the intellectual property rights.
5. Right to Use and Publish the Recorded Material
5.1 LUAS has the right to use the recorded material in the Productions and present, display, distribute and transmit the Production in the format of LUAS choice.
5.2 LUAS has the right to transfer the finished Productions or a copy of the Productions for a third party to be presented, displayed, distributed or transmitted. Except for the finished and entire Productions, LUAS will not transfer any parts of the recorded material to third parties.
6. Settlement of Disputes
6.1 In case of dispute or difference between the Parties arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, the Parties shall first endeavor to settle the dispute or difference amicably by direct communication.
6.2 All disputes or differences arising in connection with this Agreement which cannot be settled as provided for in the preceding clause shall be finally settled by and in the district court of Kemi-Tornio, Finland.
6.3 This Agreement shall be construed according to and governed by the law of Finland.
7. Accepting the Agreement
By accepting this Agreement the Storyteller/Performer confirms that he/she understands and accepts the terms and conditions defined in this Agreement.
