During our trip to Storslett we visited a small town on a shore. We were given some time to roam around and an assignment to draw a scenery. Instead of staying at the shore where we stopped I tried to find a place as high as possible within the given time. I walked through the town and found an abandoned or nearly untouched path in the woods. It led to several locations with names I couldn’t make sense of. My vision was mostly blocked by trees and the tall grass that had taken over the road, but I could occasionally see the mountains ahead. The stroll filled my imagination with ideas of what could lie ahead deeper along the path. My drawing is a combination of some ideas that i came up with.

Matkallamme Storslettiin kävimme pienessä rannalla sijaitsevassa kylässä. Meille annettiin jonkun verran aikaa tehdä maisemakuva lähiympäristössä. Sen sijaan, että olisin jäänyt rannalle, otin haasteeksi löytää mahdollisimman korkea paikka annetussa ajassa. Kävelin kylän halki ja löysin luontopolun joka oli joko hylätty tai lähes täysin käyttämätön. Se vei useampaan paikkaan, joiden nimiä en ymmärtänyt. Suurimman osan ajasta en nähnyt oikeastaan muuta kuin puita ja tien vallannutta korkeaa ruohikkoa. Kuitenkin välillä pystyin erottamaan edessä häämöttävät vuoret. Kävelyreissu sai mielikuvitukseni laukkaamaan ideoilla siitä, minne polku johtaisi. Piirrustukseni on kokoelma asiosta joita tuli mieleen.
