My song, “Run”, was inspired by an interview with a teenage girl in the school Central-
skolan in Pajala. She said that she did not enjoy living in Pajala and that she felt left out and different. I wanted to write a song in that perspective, as well as about standing up for who you are and not fleeing.
“The river’s so much deeper when you don’t know how to swim. The winter’s so much colder when they won’t let you come in. The nights are so much darker when you don’t know how to see. They wanted me to leave, but I don’t want to flee.”
As one of five partners in the Interreg project Our Stories along the Northern Lights Route, the group JORD has been behind this music production.

Min låt ”Run” är inspirerad av en intervju med en tjej i tonåren på Centralskolan i Pajala.
Hon berättade att hon inte trivdes med att bo i Pajala och att hon kände sig utanför och
annorlunda. Jag ville skriva en låt utifrån det perspektivet, men också om att stå upp
för den man är och inte fly.
